Influence of Hot Processing Conditions on Properties of IF Steel

The influence of hot rolling conditions and coiling conditions on mechanical properties and structure development of interstitial free (IF) are described. The influence of finished hot rolling conditions over temperature Ar3 (austenitic rolling), finished hot rolling conditions below temperature Ar1 (ferritic rolling) and coiling temperature are discussed. A effective tool for mechanical properties a structures controlled is coiling temperature after hot rolling. Optimal coiling temperature for obtain mechanical properties in class SEDDQ (super extra deep draw quality) in hot rolled strip was determined as 680°C. The optimization of coiling temperature allows producing material properties in hot state which are equivalent with properties after application cold plastic deformations and heat treatment processes.
